FAQs

What's Considered a Task?

A task is a specific, actionable request that our team can execute based on the detailed requirements you provide. We are your execution team, ready to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

Guidelines for Submitting a Task:

  • Clear Requirements:
      • Provide detailed and specific instructions for what you need.
      • Include any necessary files, links, or examples to guide our team.

  • Focused Execution:
      • Tasks should be clearly defined actions we can complete independently.
      • Examples: Creating a landing page, designing a social media graphic, setting up an email campaign.

  • Scope and Size:
      • Tasks should be manageable in scope, allowing our team to complete them efficiently.
      • Avoid combining multiple large requests into a single task.

  • Information Submission:
    • Use our customer portal to submit tasks, ensuring all required information is included.
    • Specify any deadlines or priorities to help us manage your requests effectively.

What a Task is NOT:

  • Meetings or Calls: Tasks cannot include extended meetings or calls. While we provide support through onboarding and weekly check-ins, tasks should be execution-focused.

  • Strategy and Planning: While we offer strategic support during onboarding and through regular updates, individual tasks should not be for high-level strategy or project planning. We work best with clear, actionable instructions.

Examples of Acceptable Tasks:

  • Web Design: "Design a landing page for our new product, following the attached mockup and brand guidelines."
  • Graphic Design: "Create a social media graphic for our upcoming sale using the provided text and images."
Email Marketing: "Set up an email campaign using the attached content and schedule it to send on Friday."
  • SEO Management: "Optimize our home page for the keyword 'digital marketing services' based on the attached SEO audit."

Examples of Unacceptable Tasks:

  • Extended Meetings: "We need a 2-hour meeting to discuss our marketing strategy."
  • Project Planning: "Develop a complete marketing plan for our new product launch."

By clearly defining your tasks and providing detailed instructions, you enable our team to execute efficiently and deliver the best results for your business.

What's Not Considered a Task?

To ensure clarity and efficiency, here are the boundaries for what is not considered a task:

  • Complete Project Plans:
      • A task should not be a complete project that requires creating the strategy, building the action plan, and executing multiple steps. Each request should be a single, specific action.

      • Example: "Design and develop a landing page" is two tasks – one for design and one for development.

  • Meetings or Calls:
      • Tasks should not include requests for meetings or calls to discuss the task. While we offer support and customer success coaching, tasks should be execution-focused.

      • Our packages do offer the ability to meet with us, book meetings, speak with our team members, and collaborate asynchronously or live via Zoom, Google Hangout, or Slack. However, these meetings need to be scheduled separately using the tools we have provided and should not be mixed with task submissions.

      • Example: "We need a 1-hour call to discuss our marketing strategy" is not considered a task.

  • Internal Team Integration:
      • Our team should not be considered as part of your internal team for ongoing collaboration on every task. Depending on your plan, there may be limitations on direct interactions.
      • Example: Continuous back-and-forth communication for strategy development within a single task is not permitted.

  • Multiple Changes Across Different Areas:
      • Asking for too much in one task dilutes focus. Each request should be small and specific.
      • Example: "Update 10 different pages on our website" should be broken down into 10 separate tasks.

  • Similar Tasks Submitted Together:
      • For tasks that are similar but separate, submit them one at a time.
      • Example: If you need four new pages created, submit one page first, approve it, and then submit tasks for the remaining pages with specific edits.

  • Replying to an Existing Task with New Requests:
      • Always start a new task for new requests. Replying to an existing task with a new request can cause confusion and errors.
      • Example: Replying to a completed task with "Also, can you update our contact page?" is not considered a task.

  • Strategy and Technical Advice:
    • Our team specializes in execution, not strategy or technical advice. Requests for detailed strategic advice or platform recommendations are beyond the scope of a task.
    • Example: "What CRM should we use?" or "How should we structure our marketing funnel?" are not considered tasks.

Examples of Acceptable Tasks:

  • Web Design: "Design a landing page for our new product, following the attached mockup and brand guidelines."

  • Graphic Design: "Create a social media graphic for our upcoming sale using the provided text and images."

  • Email Marketing: "Set up an email campaign using the attached content and schedule it to send on Friday."

  • SEO Management: "Optimize our home page for the keyword 'digital marketing services' based on the attached SEO audit."

By keeping tasks specific, focused, and clearly defined, you enable our team to execute efficiently and deliver the best results for your business.

What Is The Turnaround Time On A Task?

The average turnaround time for a task is 2-3 business days. However, there are several reasons why a task might take longer:

  1. Missing Documentation or Requirements: We are still waiting to hear from you regarding certain documentation or requirements that were not included in the task description.

  2. Incomplete Task Details: The task was submitted with missing details that are necessary for its completion.
  3. Complex Tasks: Some tasks are inherently more complex and cannot be completed within the standard 2-3 days. For example, building an API integration between two platforms could take 10 days or longer. In such cases, your Customer Success Manager will communicate with you in advance to get your approval on the estimated time.

  4. Multiple Revisions: If a task requires several rounds of revisions, this can extend the completion time.

  5. High Volume of Concurrent Tasks: During peak times or if you have a high volume of tasks submitted simultaneously, the turnaround time may be affected. Our team works diligently to manage workload, but occasionally, delays can occur.

  6. External Dependencies: Tasks that rely on third-party services or approvals (e.g., waiting for access to a client's external system or awaiting feedback from a third party) can also experience delays.

  7. Specialized Requests: Certain specialized or highly technical requests might require additional time for research, planning, and execution.

  8. Unexpected Challenges: Occasionally, unforeseen technical challenges or issues may arise that can delay task completion. In such instances, we will promptly inform you and provide an updated timeline.

For any delays or extended timelines, your Customer Success Manager will keep you informed and provide regular updates.

What is an "Active Task"?

An Active Task is any single task or activity assigned by you to our Growth Execution Team. Examples include integrating an API, managing an SEO campaign, creating social media content, designing a landing page, or writing email copy.

The number of Active Tasks your package includes determines how many tasks we can work on simultaneously. The more Active Tasks allowed in your package, the quicker we can complete your projects since we can tackle multiple tasks in parallel.

This setup ensures efficient use of our team’s expertise, helping you achieve your goals faster.

Are There Any Refunds If I Don’t Like The Work?

Due to the complex nature of digital marketing work, we typically do not issue refunds. However, if you cancel before your next payment, we will process the cancellation but will not issue a refund for the current billing cycle.
